"We did it" - nate August 19, 2024

Ok everyone, this week actually went CRAZY!! This area is amazing, and the ward is so ready to help with missionary work, none of these miracles would have been possible without them!! (I'm just gonna apologize now, because this is gonna be a long email, there was just too much good to not share!) 

Our friend Jennifer is seriously amazing!!! We found her through a media referral and have been Teaching her for the last couple weeks! her faith is so strong, and is willing to put the work in to grow closer to Christ! We helped her pick a date for baptism After an amazing lesson with an amazing joint teacher! (Megan is leaving for a mission in about a month and is the cutest person ever!) But then a couple days later she called us because she talked to her grandparents and they weren't super supportive of her and led her into some anti… she was super confused because it didn't match with how she felt. We talked about how she needed to find what was true for herself, But good news! She's looking in the right places!! She decided that she's gonna keep reading the Book of Mormon, and coming to church with us and praying to find her answers! She was able to come to church this Sunday, she shared that she had read the Book of Mormon the night before and she was seriously GLOWING!! She's gonna get there, but keeping Jennifer in your prayers would be MUCH appreciated!! 

Ok now for our friend Linda! We met her about a week ago, and she told us the next time we meet she was gonna make her whole family join the lesson! (Honestly I didn't really believe her) but sure enough! This week we go over to her house, walk in and there's her entire family sitting on the couch with 2 chairs set up for us on the other side! There were 6 kids there!!! It was seriously insane, and then! THEY ALL CAME TO CHURCH! super excited to keep meeting with them! 

We also had our friend Betty come to church!! She was also a media referral, we called her on Saturday night and talked about church! She really wanted to be able to come, but Wasn't sure if she could drive herself. We told her we could try and find her a ride and she could let us know if she needed one! BUT THEN!! we got a text from her sharing this huge miracle that her husband wanted to come to church with her and could drive her there!! She's seriously the cutest and it was so fun to have her there!! 

So in total, we had 10 friends at church!!!! (I'm gonna be so honest I did not breathe since Friday when they all said they wanted to come to after church on Sunday!) But it was sooo good to have them all there, and the Sunday school class was exactly what they needed! it was so cute to see Linda and her family just fit right in! After everyone left we were doing a lap around the church making sure we didn't miss anyone, and we ran into the bishopric, and had a moment of freaking out together about all the friends at church!! 

Ok I think this is the longest email I've ever written, but again, too good not to share!! There are about a million other miracles that I could write about, but I think those pretty much give the idea of how our week went! 

This week really felt like a reminder for me to trust God. He knows what he's doing and knows what my friends need, especially with Jennifer right now! He knows and loves her perfectly and is with her through everything. He's gonna help her get to where she needs to be! Love you all so much and hope you had a great week!

Mall of America craziness! 3/18/24

  Hey Everybody! The last couple weeks have been absolutely crazy! We were able to go to Mall of America last week and had an interesting time... Two dumb blondes in the creeks comes to an end 2/19/24

  Hey Everyone! I know I start pretty much every email off like this, but once again this week was crazy!  We had a lesson with our friend Rohit that was 2 1/2 hours long... my brain was completely dead after! It was our last lesson with him since we finally got him to agree to meet with the missionaries who are actually in his area, and because it was our last we had some members who wanted the lesson to be at their house! Although the lesson went way over, we saw miracles! After the lesson we went back to say hi to the Members mom, who's a convert and has the sweetest testimony! When she found out Rohit was just learning about the church she looked right at him and said, "Do it, this is where the lord wants you so just do it!" She then told us her conversion story and it was the coolest experience!  This week we also had transfers!! Sister Brady left which was no surprise, she had been in this area for 4 transfers! I made it to Minnesota!! NOV 20TH , 2023

  Hey everybody! This week has been so amazing, and crazy, and just all of the above!  My last week at the MTC was CRAZY! Sister Spannaus came for our Tuesday night devotional and I learned so much from her! She talked a lot about how are job as missionaries is to help people focus the light in their lives. I thought this a cool way to see it! Because everyone has been given the light of Christ, So we help people to focus and recognize it. We had the departure devotional on Wednesday and guess what guys?? I GOT TO PLAY THE MUSICAL NUMBER!! I was so excited and grateful for the chance to share my testimony through music. The piano has been such a big part of my life for so long, and has helped me grow my testimony so the chance to share that with others at the MTC was beyond amazing!  I flew out to Minnesota on Friday morning, (little bit of advice... avoid waking up at 3:30, just trust me on this one!)
